Antero’s name is inspired by the Native American Chief Antero of the Uintah band, of Ute Indians and litteraly translates, “to walk with grace”) is a high energy, soulful, roots, rock, reggae band. With creative drum riddims, Solid Thunder bass, and an uniquely soulful singer Antero entertains, inspires and moves the masses. Sam Krivanec (bass), Mike Shirosick (drums) and Jake Larson (percussion) have been together for eight years, originaly in the band Richmond Dub Collective. Wylie Jones (Guitar, Vox) joined the band in 2003 for a year. Went on a couple really long walks and came back the summer of 2007. Reunited and with the addition of Tim Reardon (keys/vox) They now perform 80% original music, while paying respect to thier influences with the remainder. The members of Antero have supported The Legendary Wailers, Toots and The Maytals, Culture, The Abbysinians, Gregory Isaccs, Morgan Heritage, Franky Paul, Everton Blender, John Browns Body, The Meditations, Eek-A-Mouse, SOJA and Matis Yahoo. Thier mission, to educate and inspire the masses to engage in positive action that will bring peace and food to the whole of the human race.
