The Archives is the brainchild of Eric Hilton of the internationally acclaimed duo Thievery Corporation. The all-star band, led by Darryl ‘D-Trane’ Burke, is currently recording their debut album on ESL Music, with a full-legnth release scheduled for Summer of 2012.

The Archives mission is to unearth and reconnect with reggae music’s true roots and resurrect the classic sounds of rocksteady, roots, early dancehall. The band is made up of all veteran players, several of whom have recorded & toured internationally with various legendary reggae acts such as Culture, Eek-A-Mouse & Gregory Isaacs. In their first year together as a band, their captivating live show has quickly elevated them to the top of the DC reggae scene. An Archives performance is a magic carpet ride through reggae’s rich history that is not to be missed!
