The Polychrons, a 4 piece instrumental live band based out of Richmond, VA, produce a unique blend of improvisational electronica, trancefusion, dub reggae, jazz, and R&B.   Polychronicity, by definition, view time as a continuous process that breaks free from the traditional linear monochromic time structure.  Polychrons prefer to keep their time unstructured, moving from one activity to another as the mood takes them.  The music of the Polychrons moves in this same fashion. Transitioning seamlessly from one sound to the next resulting in a sound that is newand fresh each and everyshow.  What starts as slow deep dub reggae can gradually shift in to four to the floor trance fusion meanwhile layering improv riffs and electronic beats.  Ultimately, the Polychrons represent freedom from conventional expectations of “modern” society as well as individuality and friendship.
