Wake Of The Flood came out of Richmond’s open mic circles in the winter of 2009, essentially as a Grateful Dead string band. Within a year they were playing small festivals and opening for national acts like the Emmitt-Nershi Band and Jamie McLean. They eventually evolved into an entirely electric outfit and are currently enjoying a monthly residency at Cary Street Cafe.
