DJ Josati
JOSATI, born in 1983 in Richmond, VA, was immersed in brilliant sounds from birth, thanks to a very cultured and music-oriented family. Joe was inspired early on by the progressive styles ranging from New Grass Revival, Pat Metheny and Lyle Mays, to St. Germain and Daft Punk. Joe began playing several instruments in his early teens and over the past 3 years has ventured into a wild solo career that has been nothing but a riot from the start.
After more than a decade of playing live w/ electronica bands, esp. EXISTOR, Joe has sought out a brave new solo venture, mixing his own style w/ some of his favorite DJs and producers from around the globe. None the less, Josati's on-stage adrenalin and enthusiasm is unmatched and will feed your dance experience leaving you wanting more. After an explosive weekend on Brown's Island playing w/ Big Gigantic, Perpetual Groove, and Future Rock, Josati shot to the top 5 searched artists on Jambase.com for nearly a month.
After a very successful summer tour in Colorado and throughout California, Josati is fueled up more than ever to continue his passion of spreading positive, yet often dark dance music w/ relentless energy. The future is very bright for this 10+ year veteran of the electronic music scene. New opportunities await Josati everyday and he shows no signs of slowing down. Josati recently destroyed a packed RVALUTION party @ The Hat Factory and crushed an opening slot for Big Gigantic to a rowdy National Theater in Richmond. Stay tuned for huge news in 2012!
